In accordance with new government guidelines
re the Coronavirus Pandemic
Activities for individual members and groups are restored and there is limited access to the toilets (only) in the clubhouse
From 4th July, the Government has assessed that indoor sports venues/facilities cannot be made sufficiently Covid-19 secure and should remain closed. The Government intends to enforce this by law so clubs should ensure members understand that they will continue to be expected to get changed at home (or in the boat park) and not enter the club house unless using the toilet.
USE OF CLUB FACILITIES
UPDATE / REMINDER (5/8/20)
The club is open to all members at present providing they fully observe government guidelines on group/bubble size and proximity and in the case of groups, observing their own organising body’s regulations.
The clubhouse is only open for toilet use – no other facilities indoors are available – there is spray disinfectant inside both toilets to spray down any surfaces you have touched after use – Please use a paper towel to also disinfect the clubhouse door handles after use. (please don’t be tempted to use toilets as a changing room – come to the club changed for action)
Club boats are available for loan to a single borrower/bubble/family (therefore not group members) for a period of exclusive use from Friday to Monday – which allows 72 hours on Tues – Thursday for the boat to reduce any Covid transmission risk. Bookings need to be made in advance through Myles ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) one weekend at a time.
The Club RIB is not presently available for use.
Current RYA guidance allows multi person crewing of dinghies subject to your own risk assessment – the full guidance is available here.
