Pete to confirm rescue boat refresher training

Matters Arising –
* Proposed rescue boat traiming dates on 11/12 April will have to miss out 11th due to Laser Open meeting – Pete to confirm
* Geoff is in negotiation with Sedbergh Canoe club re membership fees
Lease extension update – meeting held with C&RT on site which was v interesting and helpful. Verbally they have indicated that they are happy to extend the lease and are happy with the proposed jetty plans. Now they need chasing to firstly send letter of intent and then to issue the lease extension. They have extensive work to do on dam which will probably happen in Summer of 2016 when lake is naturally low but may need to lower it further. They had sent us a potted history of the lake which will be put on the website.
Grants –
Windsurfer grant application has been submitted which we now await outcome of from Sport England small grants fund
Jetty grant application is ongoing. Planning permission application almost ready and will be submitted in next week. Membership survey had confirmed agreement with proposal and raised some other suggestions for improvements to the Assocation which had been circulated by email to all membership.
Maintenance update
Dinghy park/carpark fence and some edges had been replaced
Buoys had been lifted, cleaned and repainted.
Sails of club boats had been inspected and repaired where necessary
Safety boat refresher and other training
In absence of Pete was not possible to confirm dates
Agreed the principle that if you received training then offering to help at events would be expected – perhaps 2 sessions each ….
Derelict boats
2 had been burned
Rest due for cutting up and skipping on Workday Mar 15th
